I live in Southern Oregon where the power, during storms, can be iffy, so I bought three of these flashlights: one for each major area of my house.
I was so pleased with their ease of use, the amount of light they emit, and the fact that they will shine and shine WITHOUT replacing batteries, I ended up buying two more: one for my car and the other for a friend.
The flashlight is handsome, well made, and reasonably priced: I recommend it highly.
We bought these as stocking stuffers for our two boys last Christmas. On Christmas Eve night our power went out as we were getting ready for a holiday celebration. We broke these lights out early and they shed plenty of light to enable us to finish getting ready. I love that they don't require batteries and shine so brightly! Makes a great gift. We bought one for my brother-in-law, too.
After telling friends I struggled to find candles during an electrical outage two years ago, they sent me one of these flashlights in the hi vis yellow. I keep it in one place (over my bed) so I always know where it is. Sometimes I click it on to check on the dogs in the middle of the night. I've also taken it on road trips. Too bad I didn't get one a long time ago -- could have saved a ton of $$ on batteries. This thing throws a lot of light when cranked up.
