These are great little lights to have on hand. Easy to crank and great illumination for such a small light. I purchased one for all the children at last years Christmas party. They played with them all evening and still have them this year. I just purchased a couple more to give out this year.
At first I thought it was too small, but now that I've used it a couple of times, I've grown to love it's great little size (fits in palm of your hand), light weight, and casts a very bright LED light. No need to worry about dead batteries again. It's come in very handy both in the in and outside the house. I think I will pickup a couple of more for stocking stuffers this year and for my wife to put in her car. Great produt LL Bean!
My son had an LLBean Crank flashlight purchased a few years ago. He loves it and it is very functional. That model/style was no longer available so I got the nearest thing I saw, this mini. While it does function as advertised, I am disappointed at the brightness of the light and the "flimsy" plastic construction. It does not seem sturdy enough to last very long in normal use. I have not tested the length of time usable light remains after the "one minute" cranking but with the fairly rapid diminishing of light output after cranking, I do not think it would be very long. Non-the-less, a useful tool to have.
