This is a great little item. I bought six of them as Christmas presents. A flashlight that always works! I was however hugely dissappointed in the horrible clampack. Not only are these a giant pain to open but they're an environmental curse. PLEASE LL Bean, ask your supplier to address this.
I ordered three of these for my boys to put in their stockings for Christmas. Their very easy to crank & have a very bright light. Would be great for a campout or its small enough to put in the glovebox of your car!
The crank flashlights we have are great -- but if you crank it in the wrong direction, there's no charge. If it doesn't work for you, crank it the other way.
I bought this flashlight for a bunch of people in my family after a big ice storm, and it was a huge hit. Easy to use, and you never have to worry about finding batteries.
