A little over a year ago, I sent two of the large crank flashlights to my daughter in Equatorial West Africa to a Peace Corps station without electricity or running water. It's a hot and sometimes dusty environment and the flashlights get lots of use. They are both doing well and my daughter likes the two levels of light. I just ordered three more and at a price that beats the inferior products available locally.
I actually bought this for my son who loves to look at books in bed after being tucked in - we were going through batteries like crazy before, but this has been perfect - he uses it every night! I'm going to buy 2 more for my other kids.
The Mini Crank LED Flashlight is a reliable, lightweight, palm-sized unit that is a great first flashlight for active young children. It projects a wide beam of fairly bright light when fully charged. The lanyard hole could stand to be a bit larger in diameter but other than this it is a neat no-frills flashlight.
Small and Powerful! I am an On-Call Bus Driver. I wear this on a lanyard to read driving directions - works great! Easy on and off. I bought 1 of each color and love them. Recomend highly. Fits in the plam of your hand.
