I have purchased 6 of these -- some for the "emergency kit" and some for camping and I have one in my purse all the time. They are the best crank flashlight out there. Very easy crank - very bright light - price is comparable to other crank flashlights. Exactly what I want in a crank flashlight, right? The only negative thing I can say about it is -- LLBean, can you add a string or a hole for a string? They are small enough to get lost inside a tent. So it would be nice if it came with a string or a clip or something. But dont' change anything else about them, ok?! I will likely be buying a few more -- as gifts this holiday season!

You simply wind it and it gives a very bright light. A wonderful thing to have in an emergency, since you can never find a flash light with working batteries when you need it in a hurry.
You cannot find a better flashlight. It is compact, light, and never needs batteries. It fits into my pocket and it's always ready to shine a great beam of light. I love it.
Got this before our camping in bass lake this memorial day wkend, 1 each for my three boys. Good thing it comes in 3 diff colors. My boys liked it a lot and kept winding it all day just because they want to. It fits perfectly in their hands and is bright. The only thing i would change is i would add a little rope (which i did) at the crank handle so it won't slip easily out of their hands. What cute and functional little thing, no more batteries needed!
