I'll really know what I think when I see how long it lasts and keeps recharging. Out of the box, though, it is easy to crank and has a bright light and nice palm-fitting size. The one problem I see is that it is small and could use a key loop or something that you could string a lanyard through.
I bought three of these for stocking stuffers for my 3 boys and they were thrilled! They have come up with such fun things to do with them and what's even better is I don't have to change batteries every few days. Makes a fun and inexpensive gift to give at a birthday party for a boy, too.
