I had two of these lights. The first was good for about 5 days. Afterwards one minute of cranking gave about 3 mins of decent light before a notable reduction in the strength of the light. The second was better but once again after a few days of use there was maybe 5-7 minutes of decent light. Neither withstood the claim of 1 min cranking , 20+ mins light. West Marine sells similar which a colleague of mine has had problem-free for several yrs.

The light was mainly purchased for emergencies, especially during hurricane season. It also works well for camping. We do lots of motorcycle camping and small size is important. This light has helped us set up tents in the dark - not the most desirable situation, but the light made it possible. This is a great buy for its performance.
I had purchased some of these as Christmas gifts last year and kept one for myself - boy was I glad! After Hurricane Irene that little flashlight never left me. It's so small, convenient and easy to use. At one point I even held it in my mouth to do chores down the barn when I needed both hands (which inspired me to purchase a headlamp). Since it proved itself to be so worthy I'm giving more as gifts again this year!
