ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, better than expected, easy to crank, the light is bright
I was a little suspicious if the flashlight would really work, but knowing LL Bean and how they stand behind their products I thought I would give it a try, plus I knew I could return it if it didn't work. Well, I couldn't believe that it worked. The crank is really easy to use and it is the perfect size to fit into your hand to hold and crank. The light is very bright. I am going to buy at least three more to put into our vehicles and will give them as gifts. I purchased the flashlight for emergency prepareness. I am extremely pleased!!
The handcrank flashlight is a good piece of gear. It is much brighter than previous models I've tried, about as bright as a battery LED flashlight, and it holds a charge for weeks. I haven't had it long enough to evaluate longevity and reliability, but at this point, I've tossed the old-style battery-operated/bulb flashlights. I'm still keeping my battery LED flashlights, but I may get rid of those if this crank flashlights lasts a long time.
