This little light is very bright for all the bigger it is; it fits in the palm of your hand. It seems to hold the charge for a long time. Owning this light has me thinking it may be cost-effective to gradually replace all my flashlights with hand-crank types to get away from always having to replace batteries. The initial lay-out of money is more, but I think it would be better cost-wise for the longevity of the flashlight. It seems to be sturdy enough for normal use. I like that it has a place to attach a lanyard or beaded chain if you want to wear it around your neck or attach it to a bag.
This flashlight is just the ticket for use in a car glovebox, since it doesn't matter how long it sits there; there's no disposable battery to go dead on you... just crank for a minute and you're good to go. Very bright light for its size, fits in a pocket easily. I wish it were waterproof, but nevertheless will be indispensable for camping. Manufacturer recommends you crank it up every six months regardless of usage to keep the battery conditioned.

Great technology. Gives off a lot of light for the few cranks required. Never have to worry about battery freshness. Impressive gadget. Would not hesitate to purchase another one or two.
