This works great! A little bit of cranking gives you a long-lasting light. The LEDs are nicely bright. I love that I don't have to worry about batteries. If we lose power, I can grab the flashlight, crank a bit, and I'm good to go. I can toss it into my pack when I'm heading out with my Girl Scout troop without worrying about packing extra batteries. The only change I would make would be to make the attachment loop bigger. I'd like to be able to attach it to some sort of lanyard for clipping to a pack, tent, ect.
My boys couldn't wait to get these in the mail...and it was worth the wait. These are LED flashlights, which means they are very bright even though they are small. They are easy for my 7 year olds to crank, and they can fall asleep every night with a flashlight on. Before we got these, we were going through batteries like crazy. These little powerful flashlights (palmsize for an adult) will pay for themselves when you consider the batteries you won't have to buy. They are also very 'tightly' made. They feel high quality and the seams are tight.
I have only used the flashlight for a short time, but the very bright light is fantastic! I have bought several for gifts to be used in cars...no batteries to worry about! I would have rated it with five stars if I had used it longer......
