This flashlight is great for the car; I don't have to worry about remembering to change batteries, and the light is very bright for its size. It slips into my jacket pocket when I walk at night or I can clip it right to the outside of my jacket for safety. I'd recommend to anyone - very versatile.
Just put these little guys to the test this last week with a power outage. The product description says a one minute crank will yield about 20 minutes of use. I tried using one for reading that night, and after the initial crank, the cranks had to be more and more frequent so I could see the text well enough, until I was cranking about every couple minutes as the light diminished so quickly.
I have one by the front door, one by the bed, and one in the car. I DO believe they will come in handy for guiding my way in the dark for short periods. Also, I like having no batteries, etc.
I ordered a dozen before Christmas to put in the family stockings and give to friends. Loved the shape & colors. We've been without power the past 42 hours and my little "firefly" did its job! I read in the dark, winding it up every 30 pages or so, and it fit easily on my nightstand or in my pocket. Could hardly wait for the power to return so I could post this review ;~)
