We charged this in the car for our 4hr drive and when we went to use it that same night there was no light. We tried solar the next day and the same thing. We also tried the crank which only gives light while cranking. We sent this back and are waiting for refund now.
I purchased this hoping for descent lighting in my tent. No batteries to replace, was a great incentive. As much as I wind or charge, it's only good for a nite light. It's a waste of money.
We have a lot of power outages. This lantern sits in my window and is always charging, always there when we need it. Plus, it has a crank for those sunless, stormy stretches without electriciy. The bi-level lighting selection is good too. I might get one for upstairs as well. I found this to be a quality product, solid in every way.
