The lantern works well. We knew these would not produce a great deal of light so we purchased 3, together they make enough to light a small room. For emergencies or camping this is a great product. One of these lights will only light up a small bathroom. LED's do not produce a lot of light but you don't need batteries which is nice. We use the hand crank mostly and have had zero problems.
Completely disappointing! Opened the box the solar panel fell off. Wires weren't even connected to the solar panel and the panel wasn't even glued down to the lamp itself. Tried to crank the handle....it came off in my hands. Waste of money and cheaply made. The fact that two things were wrong coming out of the box tells me this thing wouldn't last thru a camping trip or anything.
The lantern worked well for a few days but then the solar charging was not sufficient to produce a bright light and so had to be cranked and cranked-- ultimately resulting in the hand grasp bit of the handle coming off. Not worth the money, so I returned it-- good idea but not sturdy and needs design work.
