We are very happy with the lantern, it can be put on a table or hung (there's a hook in the handle). I checked out several others. This has more features than all the others. It gives off plenty of light and is the only one I found with 2 light settings. It is great for families, no batteries needed, no flame to worry about and it can be used outdoors! Decided to order it after the Dec. ice storm, we'll be all set for the next power outage.
My first light arrived with one side of the handle broken. No problem, I was able to fix it and now it's stronger. Then the solar panel popped off when it was bumped. Again no problem, I'm using velcro to hold it on and can detach it to better face the sun for recharging. I ordered another one for a gift and that arrived in great shape. I like the concept and the amount of light it gives off is what I expected. I think it should be made a bit tougher/more rugged, seeing it will be used mostly for camping.
