the solar wind 'n go crank lantern arrived in good condition and is performing exactly as advertised. We keep it in a window so it's ready to use. I just give it a few cranks and it lights right up. We used it in a small dark closet that my husband was working in out in our camper - PERFECT. Thanks LL Bean for good quality products.
Whether this is your primary source of light or a backup when tent camping especially, this is a must have to bring along because all charging options are covered. There i no way you can end up without light. It comes with a DC charging cord thus, you may not need the optional charging kit which duplicates the DC cord yet also includes an AC cord, thus making your charging options complete. My only criticism of this lantern is that the light from the 12 bulbs comes nowhere close to that of the traditional propane camping lantern. Also, my subjective opinion is that there is little difference between the amount of light cast by the 6 bulb vs. 12 bulb selection on the master switch. Overall, I value this purchase and will get a great deal of use from it while tent camping or as backup in a power emergency at home.
The Lantern is a great item it works well and can light an area well. Wind N Go works easily and two ways so that no matter what you will always have light. This is a great item.
