I like this canteen alot. I was initally worried about the screw top being awkward and labor intenstive (I have a 2yr and 4 yr old), but its not and I actually like it. I use it mainly for water, its doesn't stay cold all day but it does takes awhile (5-6hrs or so) for it to hit room temp.
You can't beat an L.L.Bean, you simply can't. Anything that comes from this company is above and beyond in quality. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone...in fact, I have already!
I recently purchased this and took it with me on vacation. It is the only water bottle I have ever used that absolutely doesn't leak. I kept it empty through airport security, then got bottled water and mixed it with my drink mix. This works great because water bottles are all different sizes and I could just pour the water in the bottle and mix it up. It was upside down in my backpack many times and never leaked a drop. I took it to the beach and it worked great there too. It even kept my drink colder than if it were in a plastic bottle. The only problem I had was it was sometimes hard to open if I tightened it too tight.
