Not sure if I will keep this item. Nice looking, but didn't like the fit. A little too big in the shoulders and the sleeves were too long. I bought a XS because I wear a size 4. Maybe if they offered a petite, it would be a better fit. Something about the buttons that make it difficult to button. I first machined washed it on delicate and it came out too winkled. Dried it on low and it didn't help. I then washed it by hand and drip dried it. I still had to iron it. Other reviewers said it washed beautifully. They had better luck than I did. For me washing beautifully means no wrinkles and no ironing.
I have three of these shirts and love them. After losing weight I'm back in LLBean size medium, including perfect fit pants, so I bought my latest shirt in that size. It is too tight in the hips while perfect everywhere else. My older ones in medium fit perfecftly so these shirts are being made much more fitted now.
Lovely material and color but very disappointed that the shoulders are too tight for me. I was impressed that the sleeve length was just right - usually xs petite sleeves are too long - so I have just about given up buying LLBean shirts - but this time the sleeve length is just right. However the lack of a pleat in the back of the shirt makes it too tight for me. I am returning it and not buying a larger size as those sleeves will be down over my hands. The single pocket is a strange size - not large enough for an iphone nor for a passport - maybe for a handkerchief? I will stick with my usual travel shirts from another company that has broader shoulders and larger chest pockets - but not as light weight materials. I am 5'1in - 100 lb - not talking here about a big boned woman - but I have shoulders - and need a bit of room in order to move.
I have 2 of these with plans to get more! I went on vacation to Peru and these were the only shirts I wore. The fit is very flattering and is true to size. I am 5' and 105 lbs and the xs fit perfectly. I purchased another from the "C" company, and the kid's shirt I bought was only 30 SPF, and the pockets were tiny! No wonderful big pockets with zippers, no roomy double pockets like LL Bean. The only drawback is when you wear all synthetics, it generates a lot of static (my hair was a mess!),Consider bringing along your conditioner and an extra dryer sheet to run over the shirt (I usually air dry without fabric softeners) to avoid this problem! I also use this for long drives to avoid sunburn on my left arm while driving. Works like a charm! Thanks LL Bean!
