This is a great shirt for outdoor activities when you want a sun shield but don't want it to be too hot. I wear it for field work (in rivers) and it dries quickly, is comfortable, and with the subtle shaping it even looks good.
Prosthe best you'll find, easy care, Durable, fits well
I highly recommend this shirt to hikers, boaters, fisherwomen, or anyone who needs lightweight sun protection.
In over 19 years of sailing, I've put together a collection of sun shirts from BIG NAME outdoor brands for protection from the spring and summer sun. They were either too large or too tight around the chest.
Then, about four years ago, I bought my first L.L. Bean Tropicwear shirt and will never buy any other brand again. They wear like iron and are the only shirts I've found that really fit me (a not-thin, not-heavy, I guess you'd say average, size 6).
You will enjoy them because they are easy to wash and wear. They feel light against your skin, but block the worst of the sun. They last forever -- my first Tropicwear shirt looks almost as good as the day I bought it.
I have 3 more of these shirts, each from a different year. This year the style changed and I needed a large instead of a medium. These shirts are excellent for all outdoor activities. I use mine mostly for horseback riding even on the hottest days of summer. In the winter, they make a good layer under fleece. My husband also likes them!
