I have one of the short sleeved shirts so I ordered the long sleeve too. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a little tight across the upper arm. I didn't find that with the short sleeved one. Otherwise, this shirt is comfy and attractive for outdoor fun. I wish they came in bigger sizes, too.
ProsGreat Value, Performing as Expected, practical
Unlike others, I found this shirt true to size. I ordered the Xmall and it fits perfectly. There's a little construction problem in the back shoulders. They're built in a straight line and our bodies aren't straight so they strain a bit when you lift your arms. This is probably why some people had to take a size larger. But you get used to it so unless you're very busty you don't need a size larger. The pockets and the loops are so incredibly well placed and practical. I wear glasses that I constantly take off. They made me fall in love with this shirt. Yes the rubber buttons are difficult. The fabric is comfortable. I bought the long sleeve in reef green and it's nice, not washed out. I got the short sleeve in white. Still I would have liked more vibrant colours. They wash out well. Stains come out easily, even chocolate. They come out okay, a bit of ironing on the collar if you like you're clothes crisp. otherwise it's not necessary.
I bought several Tropicware shirts years ago, and the following year bought several additional. These shirts were just great then. A few years later, several of my colors were looking a little tired, so I ordered replacements. Egads! The shirts had been made fitted, the sleeves shorter, the fabric stiffer and heavier, and the buttons these rubberized impossibilities. I was very disappointed, and will not order the women's again. However, in the meantime, I discovered that the men's shirts are the same old, nice fabric, with real buttons, so I have started ordering those. Unfortunately, not all the same colors are available. If you order a large in women's, a medium in men's is still big. Please return the product to its better incarnation!!
This is my second tropicwear shirt, I love them. I purchased my first one to wear on a cross country motorcycle trip last Summer. When it was too hot for leather I wore this. We drove over 8,000 miles from Pa. to California through the Mohave desert and all over and I have to say I stayed cool and I did not get any sunburn.
