I liked the shirt, well designed and lovely color. But I am returning it as the large was too snug across the bust, and the x-large was HUGE! It looked like a tent on me!
WISH LIST: I wish LL Bean made a tropic wear shirt in a RELAXED fit. Why are all of them fitted? When a shirt is fitted it usually doesn't fit. Women come in lots of shapes and sizes and we move around! A relaxed fit simply offers a more flexible fit for more people. Please offer at least one relaxed fit!
Cool, easy comfort shirts that I have relied on for serious sun protection for several years now.
I have at least 8 of these great shirts in a variety of colors & replace them as needed after about 40 washings. The lovely violet & pale turquoise are my latest additions. Current color choices are paler than those of past years, but still do a great job of sunblocking.
Wash/dry: I machine or hand wash them (cold) & hang them to air dry. They dry quickly--wrinkle-free & ready to wear.
True to size & comfortably loose on me, which allows for a cooling air flow.
Serious sun protection plus a cool, crisp look is a winning combination!
I just received my order of two "Tropic Wear" shirts for women; one in yellow and one in dusty green. I love the shirts and LOVE the colors but they were too small. I called this morning to order replacements in next size but I was very disappointed to hear that these colors HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED! I will order from the remaining colors but for summer why discontinue such great colors???
