After having an appt with my dermatologist I decided to see if there were any shirts with "built-in sunscreen" and I found this one! I have since bought the lavender colored one as well as I love this shirt! Even in the warmer temperatures, it's light enough with much ventilation for comfort. In fact, I plan to wear it this afternoon while golfing! I highly recommend this shirt for keeping the sun off!
The dusty green is a light mint green. I was looking for a sage green as the photo indicates. It is distinctly brighter. I also wish the breast pockets were a little deeper. Not all of us have a perky chest (and I am reasonably fit and proportionate). Other than that, it's a great shirt. Nice fit, comfort, and durability after 2 months of continuous wear at work outdoors.
I enjoy the women's tropicwear shirts for walking the dog in the hot summer sun. The previous design did a fine job of keeping me ventilated and as comfortable as could be expected considering that it doesn't come with A/C built in. I like the new design even better. It has a more girly shape and the straight hem looks better untucked than the previous design looked.
LL BEAN, Please add some brightly colored shirts to this collection. Everything is so muted. Also, the plastic snap on the sleeves looks cheap compared to the button the older shirts had.
I normally take a medium, but the medium was too small, so ordered a large and even it fits so closely that I cannot wear a tank top under it comfortably. The buttons are too large for the button holes and very difficult to use. I had to cut the buttonholes larger, so now will probably find them fraying before long~! I kept it as I had to have a sun block shirt.
