I need to keep the sun off my arms when outside and this shirt is perfect for casual wear. The sleeves are roomy enough to be able to wear over a tee, but the shirt has a nice fairly slim feminine shape. The fabric is cool and feels kind of silky. The shirt seems to run true to size, as I usually wear a small and the small fits just fine. I ordered more when I saw how nice it was so I now have three different colors!
I have had one of these shirts for a couple of years and recently ordered 2 more- one for my daughter. They do run a little small, so we both sized up this time. They are good for layering and sun protection. They dry quickly which makes them good for travel.
This purchase was an additional shirt as my original white Tropicwear shirt is starting to show its age (it was THE go to item when I spent 3 weeks in Thailand in August of 2008) - they are comfortable, always look great, wash and dry up beautifully and an extremely good value for the money...my only complaint is the change in the buttons (there are a couple of other practicality oriented changes since my original purchase 6 years ago that are fine) - the buttons on my old white shirt are a marbled brown and white, the ones on the new shirt are chalk white and, quite frankly, look cheap...but as long as the buttons are functional and durable, they'll do...the only problem I have is deciding what color to get next.
I have 5 Llbean fishing shirts and wear them constantly in the summer. Ordered this new version and in general like it better as it doesn't have all the tabs and such in front and it is slightly shaped. Less "fishy" and better for everyday wear. Fabric is not as nice...a little heavy for summer. And, thought I was ordering a slightly different green color than the one I have but it is the same. Still very satisfied overall.
