Bought this shirt for my mother and she loves it though the sizes run small. I got her the XL and feared it might be too big, so I was surprised when she told me it was too small. She is not a XXL shirt size. She still wanted to keep the shirt and will just use it unbuttoned as a extra layer.
I looked at the sizing chart, read the reviews and as I normally order a large, I decided to order the medium as it was extra on the inches. Well, it was too small and the sleeves too short. LL Bean has great customer service. A representative called immediately and sent me out a large at no charge. It fit fine and the sleeves were longer. But when you go to roll up the sleeves the button snaps up high. When I rolled up the material it was too tight on my upper arm. I like a loose fit below the elbow. It is a beautiful shirt, lightweight and I loved the color. If they could in the future, have a more relaxed fit on the rolled up sleeve, I would try again.
Cool even over a light top.Just a little snug when buttoned for an extra large shirt but I wouldn't give it up,I just wear it like a jacket. I love this shirt,but would be even happier with a bit larger size however with a light top it is good for indoors too,where you could take the shirt off if you want.I would definitely recommend it for someone who doesn't want more chemicals on their body as well as all my friends!
Loved the purple tropicwear shirt. This shirt gives me vital sun protection when needed. This shirt is lightweight and cool. It is, however, expensive!
