I purchased one for myself and one for a gift. It washes and wears well. I don't find it to be "cool" for summer but it does the trick for sunblocking and travel which has been a big use for it. The pocket in the front which will be full right over the bra area if used is not so good. If they made it with a side pocket in the seam near the waist it might get more use. All in all I recommend it.
I've already recommended to a friend. I ordered one size larger to allow for paddling activity, but it really wasn't necessary as the shirt is designed well to allow movement without binding. Love that you can roll the sleeves into a snap tab that doesn't come loose like buttons can; they stayed put even after soaked dashing through rapids. Coolest long sleeve shirt I've ever worn in Texas heat- well vented & breathable. Made well, great pockets (one w/zipper) & sunglass loops. Dried fast, didn't retain any river smell after getting out of the water, provided wonderful sun protection, and washed up beautifully like new afterwards despite mud stains on my white one (no bleach- just used detergent & clorox 2 for colors). The green one I ordered in my normal size will look stylish enough and be comfortable for summer fun while protecting from sun. Worth the price. This shirt will last & look good.
I purchased this shirt to wear on warm days when I will be hiking or bike riding in the sun. It is very soft and comfortable. I tend to feel warm or hot when exercising and I stay reasonably cool in this shirt. I like the front pockets. There is room to store essentials. I'm 5'2", 110 pounds and the medium fits well. I would definitely recommend this shirt.
I had to send the first shirt, size L, back because it was too tight - too many darts and seams so that my range of motion while kayaking would have been limited. A size large is usually loose on me. I am trying an extra large. Otherwise the design with vents, material and available colors are excellent. As is, the style is more fitting for the office.
