I bought this shirt two years ago and love it. I have 3 other "tropicwear" shirts from other companies. To compare, LLB shirts are made smaller and are more fitted + the material is a bit thicker. I wish they were not fitted and were a bit longer. Having said that, they were about half the price I paid for the other shirts. So, price to quality ratio, the LLB shirts are definitely a better deal. I wear these shirts every day over a t-shirt to protect from the sun. I wouldn't live without them. I will definitely buy more of these shirts from LLB.
I am a mature woman, tall and large boned but barely one cell into overweight on the BMI, yet the LL Bean XL didn't fit. I had to return the shirt. The companion tee shirt was flimsy and also too small. My general sense is that LL Bean's quality has gone down.
I have not worn this shirt yet but have the same shirt, same size that I have worn many times. I purchased a white shirt for the sun protection and reflectibility, much needed in Florida. I will be using this shirt primarily for walks on the beach, sitting in the sun for long periods watching airshows, and for going for wildlife walks where the long sleeves will be a protection against mosquitoes.
