This is the third women's tropicwear long sleeve shirt I have purchased from LL Bean. My prime reason to buy was for sun protection. As a baby boomer who unfortunately baked in the sun, I now want to prevent further damage to my fair skin. These shirts are great for travel. They are wrinkle free. I normally wear petite sizes, but the size small fits well worn over sleeveless tanks. The sleeve length is a little long. A petite small would most likely take care of that one issue. I simple turn back the cuff. I wash the SPF 50 rated shirt on a permanent press cycle; hang to dry. Colors go well with my tank tops. The tight knit fabric is comfortable for hot days or cool evenings. Other than wishing this shirt was available in petite sizes, I recommend it to those wanting comfort and SPF protection.
I thought I was ordering a shirt exactly like one I bought several years back, but it is not the same shirt. The stylinging isn't as nice--no buttons, only snaps and velcro and the shirt is boxy. In short it isn't nearly as stylish as the previous shirt, but if it protects me from the sun that is the important thing. I have to remember that.
Comfortable, soft fabric that doesn't irritate or itch, good quality. Keeps my arms warm in the morning, then I can roll the sleeves up when it gets hot. Size Medium fits me with some room to layer a t-shirt underneath and I am usually a size 8-10.
