I purchased this shirt for a trip to the California coast. Perfect for the somewhat chilly mornings and late afternoons/evenings. Was easy to pack and had very few wrinkles when unpacked. Great shirt to wear over a tee.
I frequently deploy to the Middle East where the temperatures are 120F or hotter and I have very fair skin. I love the light fabric and the sun protection it provides. By far, these shirts are the coolest and most comfortable I own for hot climates. I ordered several of these shirts, two in plaid and one in a solid. The plaids I ironed lightly to shake out the wrinkles. Imagine my absolute horror when the solid shirt's fabric melted as soon as the iron came in contact. The label says cool iron but don't put an iron near this fabric!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, tailored hiking shirt
I've waited the entire spring/summer before writing my review. I hike and kayak in sun and heat. I chose a light color (yellow) to reflect heat. Wonderful design and feminine fit. Very functional for all my activities. Great sun protection and coverage. Wash and wear. Looks good too when going directly from the outdoors to city. I do find the hard rubberized buttons to be difficult to slip through the button holes, so I leave most of them buttoned and slip over my head. Cuff buttons present greatest challenge because you have the use of only one hand. But this was definitely not a deal breaker.
I own 6 of these shirts and I wear them all the time. Three are relaxed ft and 3 are slightly fitted. I give a 5 star to the relaxed fit .I like enerything about the slightly fitted except the fit. It is to tight from the waist down so I do not button it ...and I like to button my shirts. Please consider offering a misses relaxed option. I wear a med. size in all other relaxed fit shirts..things change when you get older. Thank you.
