This was the first UPF-rated shirt I bought after having a superficial melanoma removed, and it arrived in time for my June vacation. I wore it daily over a T-shirt on the breezy beach and when going in and out of the sun at other times, and it was quite comfortable. At home, it's a bit warm for hot, muggy days but can be preferable to sticky sunscreen. Since it's not available in petite sizes, the fit isn't perfect for me, more like a jacket than a shirt. I like that the tabs for converting to short-sleeve don't stick out the bottom when I roll up the cuff twice, as they do on some other such shirts. Also, it cleans easily; salad oil came out with just a little soap. If the Tropicwear shirts came in petites, I'd buy more.
I have 3 of these shirts in lovely pastel colors. They are my go to wherever I am traveling shirts. Great extra layer early in the morning and then roll up the sleeves as the day warms up. Pockets for carrying my incidentals like camera filters and tabs to hang my sunglasses on. Material is soft against the skin and wrinkles drop right out. Washes up in hotel sink and ready to wear next day. I gave it 4 stars because it is not available in petite so the sleeves and overall length are too long for me and I have to roll the cuffs back a full length.
I don't like sunscreen and needed a lightweight shirt with sun protection. This shirt is a nice light weight, fits nicely, with good ease for movement, and is well made. I've worn it hiking, kayaking and biking. Very happy I bought it!
