While the quality of this shirt is good, the cut is skimpy. I wear a 16 so I thought ordering a larger size would give me plenty of room to move. This is more fitted than I would like and the sleeves, especially, are tighter than I prefer. I won't order another one or will order a 1X if I do.
I own 7 of these shirts, purchased over the past 2 years, and just ordered an 8th. They are perfect for long days in hot sun because the fabric wicks away moisture (perspiration) while providing excellent sun protection--neither of which cotton shirts of any weight are capable of doing. They also wash up very easily and dry in a flash. You can't do better than these for a hot weather shirt that also provides full coverage sun protection.
My initial reaction was disappointment when I opened the package and saw the color. It was not nearly the shade of blue I had expected from what I had seen on-line. But I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It was very well made and the color appeared to change depending on the lighting one was in. After wearing it one day at work, I can easily say that it will be one of my favorites.
