After giving up on the return of the relaxed fit Tropicwear shirt I again ordered one. This time in the next larger size to compensate for the tightness in the mid-section. Now it's too huge in the shoulders and way too big around the middle. But I'll keep it because my other Tropicwear shirts are finally giving out. I miss being comfortable. Some of us are more interested in comfort for our daily activities than the feminine fit. Please keep us in mind and bring back our favorite.
I have an older version of this shirt which I love and wanted another. Unfortunately, the current version does not measure up. It narrows so that I couldn't button the last three buttons (no, it is not me; the old shirt continues to fit comfortably) and the back flap/net breathing material is shortened/smaller.
I bought this shirt for hiking, on those mornings when it's a little to cool for bare arms, but I know I'll be too warm in a jacket after the first mile. I like the comfort of the vents and the light weight. The styling and fit are good-looking and I find myself wearing it often for casual wear.
I have three of these shirts. They fit well (true to size), wash well, don't shrink, and are wearable straight out of the dryer. I do wish they came in brighter, warmer colors. And the buttons, although they are better than they used to be, are still "sticky" and a bit hard to button and unbutton. But overall, a good product -- great to grab before going out into the sun, and a welcome alternative to slathering up with sunscreen.
