I wear a Medium but ordered the Large because I wanted a loose fit. The shoulders were perfect and I have about 2 inches of ease. I washed it in the sink and hung it to dry as a test for Traveling. It dried in hours and needed no ironing. Perfect. I plan to order another one.
This shirt was suggested by my dermatologist for anyone who must avoid the sun. It is very light weight, comfortable and easy to put on for a walk with my dog. I haven't laundered it yet but assume that it will match the other good qualities of the shirt. Thanks for keeping me healthy and also able to be outside.
This is a great shirt! I live in sunny Sedona, AZ where we take sun protection very seriously. I wore the shirt on a recent 5-mile hike; weather was sunny and quite warm. It was comfortable, breathable and it did the job of protecting my skin from the sun without overheating.
The sides are slightly fitted but there is plenty of room in the hips and the collar can be snapped down.
I also like the small zippered pocket on the front.
The only con; the buttons down the front and on the cuffs are a rubble-like material and are a little hard to button; I would prefer snaps. The sleeves can be rolled up and secured with the tab that snaps.
Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. The $49 price tag might seem high, but I know it will wash and wear well for many years (my husband has a tropicwear shirt that is at least 8 years old and still looks like new).
Sadly, I will probably have to exchange this shirt, primarily because the color is nothing like the color on the website. I also think the cut seems a bit different in the long sleeve version because I have a short sleeved version of the shirt (in a lighter blue) that I love, and I thought a long sleeved one would be nice to have. Now I just need to organize my return/exchange.
