Love the material, but the rubber buttons are not nearly as user-friendly as the snaps on the old version. I bought the shirt in white two months ago and decided to get another in blue, but was disappointed to find that the snaps had been changed to buttons. Would not have purchased the shirt again had I known.
I wore this shirt on an African safari in hot, humid to dry conditions. The long sleeves gave good protection from sun and bushes. It was comfortable and dried quickly. I have the dusty green and I would like another color suitable for safari i.e beige/khaki.
A very comfortable, cool shirt ... Just perfect for warm weather whether it be for sun shielding, a little extra warmth, travel, etc...it's very versatile. The only change I would recommend is to change the buttons to the type snaps at the collar as those are great and the buttons are very tight in the buttonholes and difficult. The snaps would be better. That even said, Still I may order another one in another color. I was on vacation recently and used this shirt almost every day there and traveling on the plane.
I haven't worn the shirt yet but just trying it on was very diffuclt due to the rubber buttons. It was mentioned in a previous review and I agree 100% that the buttons are too big for the opening plus there is no give since they are rubber. I just unbuttoned the top ones and pulled it on. I best not be in a hurry to take it off. Look forward to wearing it on our trip to Costa Rica next month were it will get plenty of use.
