I used this as the "treat" bag for the "girls" at my mom's 75th birthday. They looked fantastic hanging from the oar coat rack at her lake house. And sitting on the floor. Pretty and pink. The quality of the bag is very good. I do agree with a previous review, the straps could be an inch or so longer. I can get it on my shoulder but with nothing sticking up or out. I want a navy one now too!
I bought the medium. I LOVE the look, but I have 3 suggestions to make it better. The first would be to add a pocket. A front one or even a small inside pocket. It would be nice to have a place to put your keys or cell phone so you dont have to go searching. Secondly, I'd make the straps a little longer so you'd have the option of putting it on your shoulder. The last would be to have the straps a different color than the canvas with the blue only on one side. It tends to get dirty fast. Otherewise, it's a nice size, and looks great. If LLBean makes these changes, I'd buy another!
I bought the medium madras tote with the mini madras as a "Mommy and Me" present for a friend and her 2 year old daughter. This tote is sturdy and will survive many trips to the beach.
