I purchased this Tote in the large size; it's huge! Extremely well made and heavy duty. Very pretty and colorful. I also had it monogramed. I was very pleased with purchase. I purchased it to carry heavy binders back and forth from work and it's perfect for the job!
I now have a growing collection of these boat tote bags. I bought the medium blue madras tote to use as more of a handbag. I do wish it had an interior (or exterior) pocket and slightly longer handles so I could carry it over my shoulder. Otherwise, this is very pretty and a nice change from the standard more utilitarian off-white canvas versions. It is not as stiff as the basic canvas bags but it is sturdy and does stand up by itself. I had it monogrammed and it will be my spring/summer handbag.

I love my pink madras tote. I would adore it if it had a couple of pockets. I bought the blue set for my mother for her birthday and everyone loved it. My sister said she wanted one for her birthday. I ordered it and it arrived promptly, as usual. All of them were monogramed. She will love it next month for her 50th birthday when it's filled with all the crazy 50th birthday gifts. If you want large, this sure is! I was going to retun it, until I thought of my sound equipment - amp/speaker, cords, mike, stand, etc. This bag holds it all & is strong enough to lug all of my equipment. With my guitar on my back, it's the way to go!
