No gimmics here; just great product!,

"These hiking poles are life savers! Got caught in a 2 hour hail + thunderstorm in the mountains the first time I used them and those carbide tips gripped the slippery rocks and boulders, giving stability and balance where none was otherwise possible.
The anti-shock feature is very kind to my wrists which are subject to tendonitis. The adjustable wrist straps lend wrist support on the uphill climbs and the flattened grip tops are comfortable to lean on with the palms during the downhills.
The poles are a wonderful assist to balance and, yes, they really do ease knee stress on the downhills.
Don't know how I ever hiked without them ..."

Good product, but directions were a little tricky,
September 16, 2009
By
PEGGYSfrom Hampton, VA
"I love my Leki walking poles but I had more than a little trouble adjusting them. I read the directions, I talked to someone in your Hiking Department and I watched a little film on the Leki site about adjusting the poles. I finally gave up and had a friend try and he had some problems at first. I'll be the first to admit that I don't like to mess with things like this but I really feel like the directions could have been clearer and more detailed. But now they've been adjusted and I'm ready to go! I still give the poles a 5 rating."

Daydream,
September 9, 2009
By
Daydreamfrom Bland, Va. right on the AT.
"I have a pair of these and just love them. We purchased a cheap pair from Dicks for my son and they lasted about 5 hikes. We section hike the AT in Virginia. I love mine though they were purchased elsewhere 2 + years ago. So since the warrenty is wonderful on these poles. I thought to only go with the best from now on. My only upset is that 2 days after I recieved them, LL Bean had them on sale for $20 less!"

Cheaper Than Back Surgery!!,
June 26, 2009
By
HappyRockfrom The Senic Hudson Valley
"Daily brisk walks became fewer on my hilly roads near home when lower back pain arrived (with age) and made daily walking painful. I missed the toning effect of these walks along with the soul-soothing connection with nature. A friend with bad knees suggested these Leki Antishock poles and Bingo! I'm walking with almost no pain poles, summer and winter. Adding Dayglo and reflective tape and I can walk at night, as well.
So simple! Better than back surgery."

Leki Trekking Poles,
January 24, 2009
By
Tennesseewomanfrom Eastern Tennessee
"A friend used these for walking. When I had my knee replaced, I received them as a gift and used them throughout my rehab period and plan to use them on the hiking trails as soon as I get medical clearance. My doctor felt these poles improved my stability and I would recommend them to anyone in a rehab or fitness program to build up lower body strength."

Sturdy & Reliable,
December 7, 2008

"These work well while hiking or snowshoeing. You can buy optional tips for winter use that fit these poles.
No complaints really.
The poles are twist-to-lock and have twice collapsed on me. Perhaps I hadn't tightened them enough.
Good poles."
