Sling Pack, December 11, 2009

"I have worn the pack for the Early Grouse season here in PA and have worn it for about 26 hours of grouse hunting. Overall it is pretty good, the fit is good and the strap stays out of the way when mounting the gun and shooting. Especially nice for the warmer weather we have been having during the early season. The shell pockets could be a little bigger and neither my e-collar transmitter (tri tronics sport combo G3) nor my GPS (DeLorme PN-40) fit in the strap pocket that is supposed to hold those type of items so I was definitely disapointed with that aspect of the pack. I would say that is the biggest drawback of this pack. I would like to see double zippers on the sides so you could get into the game pouch without having to unbuckle the belt and moving the pack to the front. But if you are going to be walking alot and have to carry water/food for yourself and dogs this pack works very well. It is light and the weight is distributed very well. It has not hung up on any of the heavy brush and trees that I hunt in. I didn't give it more stars because I have nothing to compare it to."
