Gloves, buckskin chopper, March 13, 2010
By Shots from Trinidad, Colorado

"The leather outer glove is soft, and sufficiently large enough to accomodate the wool blend liners without cramping the fingers. They are warm and tough for the snow removal chores I use them for. Much like the gloves I had as a kid and have not seen for many years. Their cost however, is on the high side."

Remedy for Cold Hands, January 28, 2010
By MarathonMan from Staten Island, NY

"I've been looking for a quality pair of mittens that are a good value and, most important, effective in keeping my hands warm at very cold temperatures. I am happy to say that the LL Bean Chopper Mitts satisfy these requirements and more, including the mittens within mittens design."

Incredibly Warm!, January 27, 2010
By NanceinIL from Near Chicago

"These mittens are so warm I love them. I ordered a size larger than normal so I'd have room for those pocket hand warmers inside but so far have found the mittens warm enought without them."

Great mittens, January 27, 2010
By ckhmmjm from Williamsburg, IA

"These do a great job of keeping my hands warm when I'm running the snowblower. Just purchased them so do not know how well they wear, but they are nicely constructed and I expect to use them for a long time."

"The mittens are lined and warm for outdoor farm work. They are perfect and appear to be a pair of mittens that will last for a long time. The mailing timeframe was fast and appropriate. I would recommend them for male or female."

Not warm enough, January 20, 2010
By UpstateMike from Auburn, NY

"Gloves are advertised as being good for working outdoors. Not so. When continually gripping shovel handle for more than twenty minutes, my hands began to freeze in 15 degree weather. I found it better to wear a pair of regular gloves and putting a pair of wool mittens over them.
Save your money!

Warm memories, January 6, 2010
By HortHero from Newport News, VA

"I grew up with choppers in central Minnesota, land of the frozen chosen. These mittens are as warm as those I had back then. Great for packing snowballs and staying warm while walking the dog."

Excellent, December 11, 2009
By montanaproud from montana

"I wore these for the first time when the temp was approximately 10 degrees and the wind chill was between -20 and -30 F. My hands never got cold. Excellent quality.
Sizes do run small because I ordered a large.

WARM ON A COLD DAY, November 18, 2009
By DIVERDONL from SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT

"BEEN LOOKING FOR A WARM PAIR OF MITTENS TO WEAR WHILE CLEARING THE DRIVEWAY THAT MIGHT STAY DRY AND I THINK I'VE FOUND THEM, A COUPLE OF COATS OF SILICON AND I SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO, AND IF THINGS REALLY GET COLD I CAN SLIP ONE OF THOSE CHEMICAL POCKET WARMERS IN EACH AND I CAN FINISH THE JOB, AND I PICKED UP TWO PAIRS SO I DON'T HAVE TO SHARE WHEN SHE FINDS OUT HOW WARM I AM."

chopper mittens, August 26, 2009
By skeetshooter from Rochester Hills, Michigan

"I have been looking for a new pair of chopper mittens for quite a while. They allow you to stay in the deer blind all day without having to light a fire to get feeling back in your hands. They are great at what they are supposed to do."
