Prosconvenient, fits into more containers, clean w/ wire brush, no problems w/ leaks
Recently ordered one of these for my husband. We have several of the 27 oz. LLB water bottles which do get frequent use. When he bikes, or takes a backpack, the 27 oz bottles were a bit big for the bike bottle container or for the backpack. This smaller one is ideal. I have learned w/ the larger bottles that, per LLB instructions, they cannot be washed in the dishwasher. However, I purchased an inexpensive thin wire brush for cleaning the insides of the bottles which works well. Would recommend for anyone who needs a smaller bottle than the traditional larger LLB water bottle.
I bought two, one for each child. I bought the stainless steel not the colored because the blue colored one that I bought my husband kept peeling. My childrens biggest problem is that they continue to leak inside their LL bean lunch boxes. In both LL bean lunch boxes the children need to place the canteen sideways. If you keep your canteen rightside up then it will not leak but if you lay them down they leak. They do not have a choice to place them rightside up in the LL bean lunch boxes they have. So I will be returning them. I don't have a lunch box so it is great for me (five stars for me) (3 stars for the kids)
I paid extra to have my name engraved on the bottle (block upper and lower case). I am disappointed to find that my name is not as large as the L.L. Bean lettering on the other side, so it doesn't show up nearly as well. Actually, I expected my name to go on instead of the L.L. Bean name. I rated this only as (2) "fair" because of this issue.
So far so good. No leaking, but does whistle a little when you are drinking from it. The air has to replace the water that you are taking out. Beautiful colors & it holds plenty of water.
