I bought this for my elementary school children to take to school. Unfortunately, it leaks, which is pretty much a deal breaker. Not good when you are packing it with books and binders! I was very disappointed.
Addressing the "button" issue, whistling, slow flow
PostedJuly 27, 2011
For those of you (it sounds like many!!) who are having any trouble drinking out of this bottle, try loosening the cap. It still won't leak (although if it makes you feel better you can re-tighten when you put the bottle away after drinking). This is not a design flaw, it's just a basic property of fluids as you pour them out of a closed container. Once it is lightly closed, you will have no noise as you drink, no need to suck really hard, and no need to do anything to the white "button."
I got this bottle because I like to have different sizes of stainless steel bottles to carry a variety of beverages. (and it was on sale $13). This one is great quality and the colour is fantastic (turquoise) and it doesn't leak but it's difficult to drink out of. I find, not that there's any whistling when i drink which others have complained about but, that it takes two hands: one to hold it and the other to push down the white spot so anything will come out. The sport top is the kind you usually find on a squeeze bottle so you can squeeze the liquid out but you can't here. So it's a pain in the butt because even with pushing the white button, it takes a while to get anything of it to drink. I thought I saw another top available which I'm going to get although I think it should be included when you buy it in the first place. Either that or I'm going to get a good quality straw and put it inside and then just unscrew the top to drink out of it, which is also difficult with the wide mouth. So I think i'd still recommend it cuz others seem to like it quite well and like I said it's great quality and great colours. Of course it's only the first day I've used it so it may get more comfortable to use.
