We used plastic water bottles before we got this canteen, and the water would taste funny or the bottles would become filthy and difficult to clean. This canteen keeps the water tasting fresh and cool. My 10 year old takes it everywhere with her; even at night, she puts next to her bed to drink if she gets thirsty!
My daughter takes this to elementary school every day. It is the perfect size for her backpack and the top is so secure I not only do not have to worry about leaks but she is able to pop open the top without assistance. I love the monnogram option and all the bright colors we had to choose from.
I'm sad to say the finish ( pink color ) around the engraving and around the bottom has worn off after the first few uses. This product was NOT at all worth the price - most unlike other llbean products I have purchased in the past.
