Bought 3 for the kids new year at school. Everything on tightly, and had one canteen leak when it went sideways in the backpack. Water all over the new school books. $55 to school in the first week for damages.
The stainless flask is very well made. The spout design seems to be flawed. You have to suck on the spout hard to get the water and it is noisy. I guess it is because of the air trying to get in from the relief valve. It is embarrasing when you use the canteen in the company of your friends.
Overall, this is a quality built item, but it does have a design flaw that can be irritating -- namely, the air vent will make a noise like a wild turkey when fluid is being drunk from the bottle. Also, the nipple cover can be a nuisance when trying to drink as it can hit you face (eye!) as it moves around the bottle neck.
