The stainless steel Bean Canteen has met all my expectations and more. It is lightweight and handy to carry, even full, and easy to wash. Yes, it does have a squeaky valve problem when you drink. The top screws on and has a handle, and I can safely tie or velcro it to my jeans and not worry about it falling if I don't want to carry it.
highly recommended. i am saving 24 plastic bottles every 5 days. that's what i used to use. now, i fill my canteen and walla.....it keeps my water nice and cool...refreshing. it already paid for itself.....go out and buy one.
Most canteens have an exposed spout that collects germs (yuck!) or have a lid that must be unscrewed (impossible while bike riding). This spout is safely covered with a lid that easily pops off - the perfect solution! When my son lost mine, I ordered a new one within the hour. (With the cozy, of course!)
