This is a great bottle to carry water or beverages in; it is somewhat heavy when full. However, it saves the environment from disposable bottles and saves our bodies from unhealthy chemicals in plastic disposables. Plus, the bonus is that the purchaser saves 1000 % by using tap water. (yes one-thousand) per Lester Brown ( environmental advocate). I bought one in every color for each member of my family. Our New Year's Resolution is to NOT purchase disposable bottles anymore.
I was surprised that LL Bean was on the side of the canteen and that it was in larger print than the engraved name. My children liked the canteen, but if I had known that 'LL Bean' was so predominate, I might not have ordered it.
This was a replacement item originally purchased fro my grand daughter. The replacemnt item was received in recorde time and all is well. Excellent service.
I really like the size of these canteens. They fit easily in cupholders in cars and in mesh pockets on duffle bags. The quality is great -- we won't be replacing these any time soon.
