I ordered these canteens for a handful of teens. The price was perfect. I knew they would love the bright, shiny colors. These will help them keep track of their own water container. Names could have been engraved, also.
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter to bring to school with her new matching pink LL Bean backpack. She drinks water like a fish all day. Also bought the neoprene cover to keep it cold and prevent condensation damage (which works great). Who'd have thought I would have problems with the “new” sports top! It leaks so badly that after her books and papers repeatedly came home soaked we stopped using it. So much for paying extra to engrave it. Now we reuse an old plastic disposable water bottle. I hope LLBean fixes the top issue so we can order a replacement top. I prefer stainless steel to unhealthy plastic.
I was excited about the new sport top because I had trouble opening the older style top. The sport top leaks a great deal unless you can always keep the bottle upright. I use a wheelchair and keep my water bottle under the seat and it is not possible to keep it upright. The sport top is a great idea that just does not work properly.
