Nice product, very sleek and easy to hold. The L.L. Bean insignia is a little large. I got monograms. Pleased with the pink because letters showed up; you can't see monogram on the silver, maybe it needs to have some black etched in.
I think these water bottles are cool. I bought one in red and one in blue, and the colors are gorgeous and vivid. There was, however, a tiny chip of red paint missing on one of them, (which revealed the silver metal below.)
They seem to be sturdy and user-friendly, except for the fact that they make a whistling sound when you drink out of them. (Perhaps this is due to the lack of oxygen in the bottle?) Other than that, the personalization is a great idea, and I would recommend them as a unique gift item.
Nice canteen. Well designed and does not leak liquid when inverted or tipped over. Canteen top is well thought out enabling easy handling or attachment of bottle to other items. Love the cap to keep nozzle clean. Also fits in cup holders in car.
Only complaint, is that that the bottle whistles when you drink from it. It is quite annoying and will make you think twice before bringing it into any meetings or drinking around others when indoors. You can stop this by putting your finger over the rubber knob on top, but you should not have to do this when spending this level of money. Other comment is that you do get condensation so you should consider a Koozie or some other form of cover if you plan on using it in non outdoor setting. (LLBean offers one.)
The air valve does leak if not upright, as previous reviews have stated. It takes awhile to learn this lesson. I like the top regardless. It is more convenient than the non-sport top. I purchased both types.
