I was unfortunately very disappointed in this product as soon as I removed it from the box. I anticipated that my personal engraving would be visible, and it is not. I ordered the stainless steel and thought my engraved name would appear in black, as does the brand L.L.Bean. But it's barely scratched into the surface, and no one would ever even know it is there. Very disappointing, but too much of a hassle to return.
Perfect Personalized gift for sports minded family

All my kids are into sports and I'm against plastic so after having each kids initials enscribed, I thought this to be the perfect personalized gift. Can't wait to see them open it this Christmas. Have to say price was way too high especially when you include extra for personalization and S/H. Got the cozy for each to help insulate and keep from scratches. Can't say I'd "recommend" the item because of price, but...my hubby Loves L.L. Been so I'm going to trust this is quality.
The sport lid is so much easier to use than the previous screw cap. It makes a loud noise when sucking out the water. Its the little air hole that makes a loud noise. Its a little annoying, but I can over look that. It makes less noise if you put your finger over it... if it is important to you. I am actually going to buy additional sport caps for the canteens I own with screw caps. The canteen's do sweat like any other cold container that isn't insulated. I recommend one cozy per person. Otherwise, it sweats in your bag and I think that is annoying.
I now have three of them and I think they are great. I uses to drink a lot of bottle water and now mainly drink water for the canteens. I have one a work and two at home in the frig.
