I bought this canteen for my husband for Christmas. He works an 8-hour shift with no breaks and needed something to keep icewater in to sip on throughout the day. I bought the cozy for it, too. He's very happy with it. He said it holds plenty of liquid, and there is still ice in the canteen at the end of his shift.
It's great because he doesn't have to buy a big drink at a fast food restaurant every day, and since it's reusable, it's easy on the environment. I've got the 16oz size, which I carry with me to the gym. Much better than plastic water bottles. Would recommend it to everyone!
this is the only item i have bought from ll bean that i did not like. the 40 oz canteen does not keep my cold liquids cold or my hot liquids hot. the canteen sweats on the table or on your clothes. i do not like having to unscrew the whole lid every time i want to take a drink. i will not be using this canteen any longer. it was a waste of my money
Bought this for my husband to carry to work. He used plastic bottles in the past and says the stainless keeps his water colder throughout the day. He likes the ease of carrying it, too.
I have a medical need to know how much watter I drink in a day. The 40 oz. canteen does that. Had I not been so cautious, I should have also gotten a collor and purched the holder for when my hands are full.
