I had been looking for over a year for the perfect quilt for my bedroom re-do. I had seen this previously in the LL Bean catalog, but, wandered into our local Bean store one day and was completely blown away by it in person. A family member is a quilter, and putting together complementary and balanced fabrics in a pieced quilt is an art form. This will not disappoint. It is an all-weather weight, requiring just a medium weight blanket in the coldest months. My bed is a Danish teak platform, in a country style, and the quilt complements it beautifully - no bedskirt required, as I want to show off the lovely bed frame.
The colors are just wonderful in this quilt! I wasn't sure if it was going to be too red but the colors are just right and the cream color is just perfect. My room is a sage green with white shutters and it just blends in perfectly with the colors and my oak furniture.
As always the quality was excellent. I choose this quilt because it was bright and cheery. In the photo, L.L. Bean shows the quilt in a white bedroom. The color also looks white on the quilt. However it is definately cream/beige not white. The other colors are true to the photo, maybe appearing a little less bright next to the cream. Other than that, it's a great quilt. It's not heavy and feels like top quality.
