I ordered this quilt as a fun, colorful, feminine covering for my toddler's bed. However, it looks less colorful and more mature than I expected. Good quality -- just not right for my need.
I agree...the catalog presentation does not do the Patchwork Vintage Quilt justice! The colors are much brighter and so rich looking! Paired with the Wrinkle-Resistant bed skirt...love the hemstich detailing...the quilt provides the perfect focal point for our master bedroom/bath makeover!
The picture on the website doesn't do this quilt justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The only problem I encountered was I ordered the full/queen size for my Queen sized bed and it was rather small. I reordered it in King because I wanted more of a bedspread cover rather than the quilt/bedskirt look. Yet again, LL Bean's customer service was extremely helpful!!!!
As noted by another reviewer, the photos on the website do not do this quilt justice. There are deep reds, golds and blues, and the overall effect is warm and bright. I purchased a king size for a king size bed and it covers the sheets, blankets, and 20" mattress just fine. This lovely quilt, with its matching shams, has transformed our bedroom.
