I love these pants! I got them just in time for my backpacking trip to Southern Sequoia. I wore them every day of the trip for the hiking portion. The temperature ranged from 55 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, but I was happy I had sweat pants at night because I would have been cold in them. Definitely summer pants. I can say that these pants are tare and rip resistant. Between the tree branches that caught my pants and the tree trunks that I had to climb up on to cross streams they did great, not one snag on them. They dry very fast, from sweat and creek crossings I was never wet for long. These pants convert very quickly to shorts without taking them off, and that makes them great! I will take these pants the next time I go hiking, backpacking, or camping again. They are a must!
I had to return these pants because of the fit. They not only ran small (I ordered one size bigger than I normally wear), but they sat extremely low on the hips, fit tight in the hips, and were huge in the waist. I suppose a very young woman with small hips and a waist about the same size could wear these, but I would still order up a size.
Loved the material, the styling, and the look, but they just do not fit a mature figure (I'm 5' 4" and 130 lbs.).
I've ordered other Medium tall pants from LLBean and they have fit well. These pants were shorter than typical LLBean pants. Also the sizing runs small. I usually wear a 6 and had to order an 8. I returned these because the seams around the knee hit in the wrong place and the pants were not comfortable to wear. I ordered the cropped/capris instead.
Good material, dries quickly, but fit is just too weird. The biggest issue is the placement of the zip off. I was enthusiastic to find zip off pants at such a low price, but now I think I should have just paid more and gotten a different pair. I wont wear them zipped off often because they just don't look right. The butt fits strange as well.
